Gamechanger (GC)

Response is a MUST for all games and Development Training (DT).

Respect for your coaches as to who they will be working with and how many are attending is most important to be prepared.
Please have notifications on.
It would be most grateful if a parent or parents would help with keeping scores on game changer. Any way possible would be perfect. Alternating with another parent or whichever way it works.
We do not want coaches to be distracted during games to have to do GC.

Rain-out situation, uniform selections etc will all be updated on GC.

Do not text your coach about these updates

Positions/Play Time
Positions are to be awarded to players who have shown that they deserve to be starting at that position through DT and games.
Missing practices can possibly determine the players game situation.

Disla Dukes will do their best to rotate players thru-out games that are in that players wheelhouse.
During pivotal games, the strongest players at a position will be placed and will hold down that position.

48 Rule Policy
48 rule applies with reaching out to a coach after tourney or game.
Games can cause a lot of tension and everyone including coaches need to wind down before they converse with families.
12u and up we want the players NOT the parents to reach with their questions to coaches with the 48 hour rule. They are growing up to be young mature men and it is a perfect time to learn how to deal with situations and take care of it themselves.
They can leave a text to their coach and set up a conversation or meeting at their DT and discuss.

Of course if its to congratulate or you have something that will be positive for them then text away LOL

For Players:
Team camaraderie is most important. We will not tolerate players being negative to any other player.
Players are typically expected to uphold high standards of sportsmanship, commitment, and respect. This includes being punctual, giving maximum effort, and demonstrating positive attitudes both on and off the field. Players should also respect the authority of umpires and follow team rules and guidelines. Further, they are often required to maintain a high level of commitment to their team, which may include playing in both practices and games.

For Parents

Support all team members:

Parents should support all players on the team, not just their own child.

  •

  • Respect coaching decisions:

Allow coaches to coach and refrain from interfering with their decisions regarding playing time or strategies.

  •

  • Positive communication:

Use positive language and avoid negativity towards players, coaches, officials, or other parents.

  •

  • Maintain a respectful distance:

Stay in designated spectator areas and avoid entering the dugout or bench area unless invited.

  •

  • Promote sportsmanship:

Encourage fair play, celebrate good plays by both teams, and teach children to handle both wins and losses with grace.

  •
